For years, artists and production studios developing content for film, television and video games have been under pressure to continually deliver increasingly higher fidelity experiences.
The movie going, Netflix watching, and gaming audiences expect each new entertainment experience to be better than their previous experience. As a result, the artists and studios are being tasked with developing and delivering substantially higher fidelity experiences. This is compounded with 4k, and in the not so distant future 8k, along with delivery times not scaling with the content requirement, while budgets too are not scaling with the increased complexity.
